CheckBuddy is designed with privacy in mind. All your calculations happen locally in your browser. We don't require an account, we don't sell data, and we don't show ads.

What Data Stays on Your Device

CheckBuddy uses your browser's local storage to save your preferences (like default tip percentage, currency, and display settings) and your bill history. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand basic usage patterns like page views. Vercel Analytics is privacy-friendly and works without cookies. It collects:

• Page URL and referrer
• Browser and operating system type
• Approximate location (country level)

No personal data, IP addresses, or device fingerprints are stored. You can find more details in Vercel's privacy policy.

Cookies

CheckBuddy does not set any cookies. Your preferences are stored in your browser's local storage, which is not shared with any server or third party.

Third-Party Services

The app is hosted on Vercel. When you visit the site, Vercel's servers process your request (as any web host does). Beyond that, no other third-party services receive your data.
